Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Grant Fortune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Yossarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortune pushes Yossarian up against the cage in a clinch.
Fortune misses with a hook to the ribs.
Fortune swings wildly with an uppercut but Yossarian uses good head movement to avoid it.
Fortune is trying to drag Yossarian to the mat but Yossarian just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Fortune tries to throw a body punch but Yossarian avoids it by throwing Fortune back against the cage.
Fortune tries to work over Yossarian's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Yossarian really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fortune. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fortune has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Yossarian has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Fortune - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Yossarian, and another! Fortune is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
