The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veiga fails with a takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Veiga.
Veiga throws a right and a left that both miss.
Veiga blocks a head kick by Balestra.
Veiga shoots for a takedown but Balestra saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fernando Balestra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lukaz Veiga.
Balestra tries to score with a low kick but Veiga moves his leg out of the way.

Balestra clinches.

Balestra ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Balestra no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Balestra bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Veiga's guard.
Veiga really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Balestra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Veiga is trying to stand and escape. In the scramble, Balestra has locked hold of an arm and he's managed to lock on an armbar - Veiga taps out instantly and this one is all over!
