Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kanbu Uechi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bill Smith will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kanbu Uechi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bill Smith!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uechi gets a double leg takedown into Smith's guard.
Smith looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Uechi wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Smith should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Uechi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Uechi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Uechi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Uechi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Uechi is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Uechi stands and throws Smith's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Uechi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Smith is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Smith takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Smith trying to remain calm as Uechi controls from the top position.
Uechi is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Smith looks calm but he's in trouble here. Uechi gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Smith is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Uechi lets go of the hold and Smith can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kanbu Uechi!
