Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tank Jacobs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frank Romo! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romo gets caught napping as Jacobs dives in and scores a takedown. Romo manages to retain guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Romo trying to keep a closed guard but Jacobs is proving a slippery customer.
Jacobs throws an elbow that misses. Romo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jacobs's guard. Nice move by Romo! Romo throws a big right hand that misses.
Jacobs has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Romo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Romo won't allow Jacobs to sweep him here. Romo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Jacobs is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Jacobs struggling a bit here. Jacobs tries to buck Romo off but Romo is having none of it.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Romo tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Romo is trying to get an arm triangle but Jacobs is defending well. Jacobs tries to buck Romo off but Romo is having none of it. Jacobs can't do much from the bottom here. Jacobs regains half guard. Jacobs wants to get back to full guard. Romo is keen to just control but Jacobs is a slippery customer. Jacobs is looking to improve his position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacobs works his way to full guard. Good work. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Romo wants to stand but Jacobs is controlling his posture from full guard. Jacobs working a defensive guard here.

Romo stands and steps away. Jacobs gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Romo throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jacobs. Jacobs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Romo as he jumps to the side. No luck for Jacobs with that takedown attempt.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacobs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Romo counters with a left and a right that stings Jacobs. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tank Jacobs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jacobs tries to score a power double leg takedown but Romo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jacobs somewhat. Jacobs is breathing heavily. Jacobs misses with a takedown and Romo counters with a straight right hand.
Oooooh!!! Romo has knocked Jacobs down with a huge combo! Romo steps away and waves a wobbly Jacobs back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Oh Jacobs is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Romo breaks the clinch.
Jacobs seems to have got his legs back now. Jacobs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Romo counters with a left right combination that sends Jacobs crashing to the mat - Romo wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Jacobs out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Romo! Frank Romo took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Big thanks to the guys at Hilo Pit(2428), couldn't have done this without the help of my coaches and training partners'.
