Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jackson Pollock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Hank Hall! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Hall, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pollock buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hall smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Jackson Pollock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hall missing with a left hand there. Pollock was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Pollock misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Pollock rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hall moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Pollock ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hall moves away. Hall keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pollock. Pollock is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hall throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hall checks the leg kick nicely there.
Hall misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pollock throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hall. Hall takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pollock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pollock tried to score with a low kick but Hall checks it. Pollock staying out of range there. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pollock changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hall looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Hall is looking for a sweep. Pollock tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Pollock thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Pollock in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hall tries to improve position but can't. Pollock throws a strike aimed at the side of Hall's head but Hall avoids it well. Pollock looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Pollock creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hall sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Pollock working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pollock in side control, throwing shots but Hall defends.

Hall controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Pollock throws an elbow but Hall slips to the side and avoids it well. Pollock throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Pollock tries for a kimura but Hall is defending well. Hall struggling a bit here. Pollock wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hall keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pollock in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Pollock landing a few strikes. Hall takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Pollock has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. An elbow from Pollock crashes against the mat.
Pollock working the strikes but Hall uses the opportunity to regain half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pollock throwing shots but Hall is blocking nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pollock scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Pollock misses with a head shot. Hall uses the momentum to regain guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jackson Pollock dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Pollock misses with a wild body shot. Pollock scores with a jab. Hall is looking to clinch but Pollock is avoiding it.
Hall fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pollock looks to score with a jab to the body but Hall is just out of range. Hall thows a left - swing and a miss! Pollock thows a leg kick but Hall checks it and Hall makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Pollock swings widly with a right hand
and Hall counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Pollock swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hall takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Pollock walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hall checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Pollock uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hall. Pollock throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hall ducks under a wild hook from Pollock. Hall throws a series of punches but Pollock moves out of range. Pollock moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. A big right from Pollock misses. Pollock walks into a stiff left hand from Hall. Hall misses with a kick to the body.
Pollock connects with a nice looking jab.
Pollock feints a jab promting Hall to slip. Pollock then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hall slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Hank Hall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A slapping leg kick lands for Hall.
Pollock drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Pollock lands a nice hook to Hall's body. Hall takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Pollock misses with a kick to the body.
Hank Hall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hall throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Hall connects with a leg kick. Pollock looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Hall tries to clinch but Pollock is having none of it. Pollock misses with a wild body shot. Pollock is looking to wear down Hall with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Hall has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hall with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Pollock wants to take the fight to the mat but Hall manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Pollock wants to break free but Hall has control.

Pollock slips a jab and a cross from Hall.
A punch lands to the side of Pollock 's head but he takes it in his stride. Hall misses the shot to the body. Pollock misses with an uppercut. Pollock on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hall. Hall obviously looking to wear him down.
Pollock misses with a wild body shot. Hall tries to bum rush Pollock with a series of wild strikes but Pollock uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pollock fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hall is out of range. Nice uppercut lands for Hall. That snapped Pollock's head back.
Oh Pollock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! BAM! Hall delivers a spinning backfist that drops Pollock like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
