Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mateus Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Javis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Will Javis will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mateus Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Will Javis!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Javis throws a series of punches but Allen moves out of range.
Javis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Javis throws a lazy right hand but Allen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Allen looking to score a takedown here. Javis is defending well but Allen drives through and ends up in Javis's guard.

Javis tries to lock up and control but Allen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Javis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Javis seems to have recovered his senses.
Javis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Javis stalks Allen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Allen's face. Allen staggers backwards, shaken.
Allen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Javis looks to score with a jab to the body but Allen is just out of range.
Allen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Javis wants to clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Javis enables Allen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Javis manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Allen cracks Javis with a solid left hand.
Mateus Allen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Allen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Javis is trying to hold Allen in close to prevent damage but Allen has managed to pass into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Javis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Allen was well out of range. Poor timing from Javis.

Allen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Allen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Javis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Javis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Allen defends it easily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Allen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
