The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berrao cracks a nice hook into Kang's ribs.

Berrao wants to work for an arm triangle but Kang is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Berrao is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kang doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Berrao.
Berrao is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kang is just riding it out for now. Berrao eventually gives up the hold.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

With the fighters up against the cage, Berrao throws an elbow but misses.
A head punch on the inside from Berrao fails to land.
Berrao swings wildly with an uppercut but Kang uses good head movement to avoid it.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Berrao.
Berrao does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
The crowd cheers as Berrao lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kang doesn't seem phased though.

A jab lands there for Berrao.
Kang's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Berrao connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kang scrambles back to his feet.

and Kang decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Berrao's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kang wanted to stand there but Berrao had control of the position.
Kang got a little sloppy there for a moment and Berrao has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kang has managed to get both his arms back between Berrao's legs - danger averted.

Berrao feints and then cracks Kang's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kang down.

Kang drops his hands momentarily and Berrao takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
