Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Gram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Swanson!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gram closes the distance looking to clinch
and Swanson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Swanson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gram doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Swanson.
Gram wants to get back to his feet.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Swanson lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Swanson is looking for a kimura but Gram is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Swanson to get the leverage.
