Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wet Hell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Iphone Apple! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Apple looks to clinch and Hell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Apple darts in trying to clinch and Hell counters with a single leg into guard. Apple didn't expect that. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Hell is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Apple can do anything to dispel that myth. Hell passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hell remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Hell seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Apple for as long as he can get away with. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Apple is trying to improve his position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Apple is looking to regain half guard here but Hell keeps moving and retains side control. Apple being controlled for a moment. Hell advances nicely into full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hell moves to the back position. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Hell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Apple is trying to break free.
Apple looks gassed! A bit of a pause in the action here. Hell controlling the positon. Apple trying to get back to his feet but Hell is in full control for now. What can Apple do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Hell's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Apple is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hell controls the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We're going to have a standup here because Wet Hell wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Hell lands with a nice body punch. Hell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Apple swivels and escapes. Hell cracks Apple with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Hell misses with a head kick.
Hell swings for the body but Apple moves out of range.
Hell circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hell throws a shot from downtown. Apple moves away and avoids it. The fight stays on the outside here - Apple looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Apple sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hell somewhat. Apple tries to clinch but Hell moves away and Hell counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hell passes into half guard. Hell is figuring out what he wants to do next. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hell uses his free foot to push down on Apple's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Apple. Hell sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. You get the feeling that Apple really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Wet Hell has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Hell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wet Hell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Apple keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Apple is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hell's half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hell keeping hold of Apple's head, controlling as best he can. Hell has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hell moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hell is pulling down on Apple's head. It's preventing any offense from Apple, at least for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wet Hell dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Hell throws an overhand right that lands on Apple's shoulder, as Apple tries to avoid the shot. Apple tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Apple tries to clinch there but Hell circles away.
Apple looks to clinch and Hell counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hell seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Apple looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hell perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Apple looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hell has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Apple is breathing heavily. Hell controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Apple is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Wet Hell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hell controlling from the full mount. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Wet Hell wasn't doing enough on the ground. Apple tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hell counters with a head kick. Apple dodges the punch combination from Hell.
Hell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Apple's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hell is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Apple working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Hell passes Apple's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Hell keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Apple pushes Hell off looking to stand but Hell dives back in and keeps control.
Apple is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hell pulls his head out easily. Hell performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Wet Hell wasn't doing enough on the ground. Hell has a takedown stuffed. Apple uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hell.
Hell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Apple can do to turn this around? A head kick misses from Hell. Hell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wet Hell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hell throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Hell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Apple will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A jab from Hell misses. Hell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Apple swivels and escapes. Hell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Apple as he jumps to the side. Apple tries to clinch up but Hell circles away and keeps his distance. Apple tries to clinch but Hell moves away and Hell counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hell shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Apple but Apple pushes him off and we're back to square one. Apple manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hell on his heels. He'll look to pass Hell's guard now, I'm sure. Apple missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Apple's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Apple has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Apple is looking for a triangle but Hell pushes his legs off easily.
Hell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Apple has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hell has managed to get both his arms back between Apple's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wet Hell dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hell enables Apple to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hell manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Hell has his hands on Apple's head, controlling the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Wet Hell. Sloppy strikes from Hell. Those never looked like landing. Apple looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hell controlling Apple's posture. Apple working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Apple in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Apple manages to get himself to full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hell works his way into full mount! Hell takes a little breather and maintains the position.
