Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mayuri Tatsuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dell Trotter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tatsuki comes to the ring accompanied by Norther - Released. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Mayuri Tatsuki! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Dell Trotter! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tatsuki lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Trotter moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Trotter shoots for a takedown but Tatsuki saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Trotter walks into a straight right hand from Tatsuki. Trotter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tatsuki sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Trotter somewhat. Trotter dodges the punch combination from Tatsuki.
Horrible takedown by Trotter or perhaps it was just good defense by Tatsuki which made him look bad. Mayuri Tatsuki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dell Trotter. Tatsuki throws a leg kick which misses Trotter's front leg but catches the back leg as Trotter tries to avoid it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Trotter is defended easily by Tatsuki. Trotter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tatsuki defends it nicely. Tatsuki throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trotter with a poor takedown and Tatsuki makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Tatsuki thuds his right hand into Trotter's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Trotter shoots in but no luck this time. Trotter looks gassed! Trotter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Trotter with a lazy takedown attempt and Tatsuki counters with a slapping leg kick. Trotter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tatsuki.
Trotter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tatsuki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Tatsuki working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Trotter's head. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Tatsuki sitting in guard, not really doing much. Trotter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tatsuki wants to control from the top but Trotter keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatsuki lands a couple of elbows. Tatsuki trying to control but Trotter is working from the bottom. Tatsuki forces his way into half guard. Ground and pound from Tatsuki. Tatsuki is trying to control. Trotter wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Tatsuki seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Trotter wants to get back to his feet.
Trotter actively working from the bottom here. Tatsuki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Trotter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trotter is trying to stand up here but Tatsuki is controlling him well. Tatsuki controlling the action here. Tatsuki takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Trotter works his way to full guard. Good work. Tatsuki trying to control the position from guard on top but Trotter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Trotter wants to stand up but Tatsuki is controlling him. Trotter keeping moving, preventing Tatsuki from controlling successfully. Tatsuki is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Trotter is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. That's four minutes gone in the round. Tatsuki is really struggling to control Trotter but he's trying to hold on to the position. Tatsuki might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Tatsuki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Trotter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tatsuki has managed to get both his arms back between Trotter's legs - danger averted. Tatsuki throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tatsuki cracks Trotter with a solid left hand. Tatsuki wants to control from the top but Trotter keeps moving. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tatsuki postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Tatsuki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tatsuki wants to control from the top but Trotter keeps moving. Tatsuki works over Trotter with some ground and pound from guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tatsuki slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Trotter tries to buck Tatsuki off but Tatsuki is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mayuri Tatsuki dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Trotter misses with a double jab.
Tatsuki scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Tatsuki lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Trotter. Trotter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tatsuki counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Trotter's guard now. Trotter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Tatsuki slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tatsuki trying to control the position but Trotter is working away. Check out the look on Tatsuki's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Tatsuki prevents Trotter from escaping the position. Trotter struggling a bit here. Tatsuki takes a little break here. Trotter wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Trotter is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Tatsuki lands a nice forearm strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trotter gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Trotter is trying to stand back up but Tatsuki is controlling him
Trotter is breathing heavily. Tatsuki is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Trotter sees it coming and defends easily. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tatsuki connects with a nice short shot to Trotter's temple. Tatsuki is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Trotter taking some punishment here, with Tatsuki in his half guard. Tatsuki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trotter keeps working. The fighters are battling for position here. Trotter manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Tatsuki trying to control but Trotter is working from the bottom. Trotter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Trotter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tatsuki defends well. Tatsuki pushing down on Trotter's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Tatsuki wants to take a breather but Trotter is having none of it. Tatsuki looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tatsuki is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Tatsuki is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Trotter doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tatsuki. Trotter punching from the bottom.
Trotter is not content to let Tatsuki control the position. Trotter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Trotter. Trotter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Trotter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tatsuki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tatsuki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tatsuki works over Trotter with some ground and pound from guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trotter throws the left hand but Tatsuki avoids the punch easily. Tatsuki lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Tatsuki fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Trotter has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Trotter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dell Trotter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tatsuki jabbing away but nothing is landing. A slapping leg kick lands for Tatsuki.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Tatsuki. Tatsuki is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Trotter can do to turn this around? Tatsuki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trotter keeps working. Trotter is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tatsuki's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Mayuri Tatsuki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Tatsuki content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trotter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Trotter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Tatsuki working over Trotter with some ground and pound. Trotter looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Trotter is refusing to be controlled, as Tatsuki sits in half guard. Trotter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tatsuki's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tatsuki's back! Trotter working for the choke. Tatsuki preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Trotter. Tatsuki rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Trotter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tatsuki counters with an inside leg kick. Tatsuki lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A looping hook to the body misses from Tatsuki. Trotter does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tatsuki scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Trotter tries to buck Tatsuki off but Tatsuki is having none of it. Tatsuki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trotter keeps working. Trotter is looking to get back to his feet here but Tatsuki is keeping cool and he's managed to take Trotter's back. Trotter is trapped and Tatsuki is scoring with shots to the head and body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tatsuki lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Tatsuki.

He's dropped a big elbow there and Trotter looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Tatsuki turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mayuri Tatsuki! Mayuri Tatsuki retains his lightweight title! Mayuri Tatsuki decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
