Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelly Leak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartholomew Roach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roach comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Simpsons Theme Song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roach avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Leak bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kelly Leak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leak rushes Roach and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Roach prevents a body shot from Leak.
Roach blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Roach.
Roach presses Leak against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Roach lands an uppercut.
Leak is trying to drag Roach to the mat but Roach just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Leak has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Roach scores with a shoulder strike.
Leak tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Roach blocks an uppercut.
Roach has Leak pressed against the cage, preventing Leak from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Leak looking to throw knees to the head but Roach is blocking nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Leak wants to break free but Roach has control.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Leak takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Roach swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Roach blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Leak tries to land knees in the clinch but Roach avoids the damage to the body.
Leak throws a punch but it's blocked by Roach.
Leak wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Roach has him pressed against the cage.
Leak tries to stall but Roach uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Leak wants the takedown. Roach is fighting it off but Leak persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Roach's guard against the cage.
Roach wants to sweep but no luck.
Leak postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Roach scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Leak throws a jab but it's blocked by Roach.
Bartholomew Roach is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Roach avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Roach displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Leak.
Roach tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Leak is able to avoid easily.
Roach throws a solid leg kick but Leak takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Roach.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Roach bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Leak throws a jab but it's blocked by Roach.
A big right from Leak misses.
Leak throws a chopping leg kick but Roach manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Leak tries to close the distance and clinch but Roach swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Roach changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Leak is breathing heavily.
Roach misses with a wild body shot.
Roach throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Leak stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Roach just misses with a punch to the body.
Leak misses with an uppercut.
Leak takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Roach lands a nice leg kick that just misses Leak's sensitive parts.

Roach feints and then cracks Leak's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Leak down.
Leak takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Roach is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Leak rather than just go for the knockout.

Leak on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Roach moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Roach ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Roach pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Roach scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Roach lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Leak at a distance.
A left lands for Roach.
Roach cracks Leak with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Roach has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Leak to stand back up!
Leak is rocked!
Roach finds Leak's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Leak flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Roach lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Leak will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bartholomew Roach!
