Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Iyot Ta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teovie Cababat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cababat has chosen Lupang Hinirang: The Philippine National Anthem as his entrance music. Teovie Cababat will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Iyot Ta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Teovie Cababat!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ta throws a wild body kick that Cababat sees coming a mile off.
Ta fails to land the takedown.
Ta tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Cababat counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Iyot Ta has been cut.
Ta throws a sloppy head kick and Cababat moves out of range easily.
Ta dives in and grabs Cababat's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cababat pushes down on Ta's head and hops out.
Iyot Ta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cababat scores with a jab to the head.
Cababat lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Ta sprawling to the canvas. Cababat follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Ta hang on?
Ta is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cababat thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Oh Ta is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ta blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cababat.
Ta seems to have got his legs back now.
Ta is pressing down on Cababat's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Cababat is looking to work some ground and pound but Ta has wrist control.
Cababat throws an elbow that misses. Ta uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cababat's guard. Nice move by Ta!
Cababat wants to stand up but Ta is controlling him.
Ta trying to control but Cababat is working from the bottom.
Cababat wants to get back to his feet but Ta is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Ta stays in close to Cababat's body and controls the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Iyot Ta just wasn't active enough.
Ta walks into a stiff left hand from Cababat.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ta tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cababat swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No luck for Ta with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Iyot Ta. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ta misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ta misses with a head kick.
Cababat shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ta eats them both and turns towards Cababat to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cababat looks to land a combination but Ta avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ta darts in trying to clinch
and Cababat counters with a left and a right that stings Ta.
Ta closes the distance but Cababat moves to the side
and Cababat counters with a nice body shot.
Cababat stalks Ta and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ta's face. Ta staggers backwards, shaken.
Ta will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ta walks into a straight right hand from Cababat.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ta shoots for a double leg takedown but Cababat sprawls well. He's pushed Ta's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Teovie Cababat is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cababat avoids the head kick by Ta.
Cababat looks to land a combination. Ta sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Iyot Ta's cut is getting worse.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ta will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ta throws a combination that misses
and Cababat counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Ta could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ta misses with a combination
and Ta takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cababat slaps away a takedown attempt from Ta, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Teovie Cababat dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Iyot Ta's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ta throws a head kick that misses.
Cababat leaves Ta with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Teovie Cababat seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Cababat scores with a shot to the body.
Ta is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Ta swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cababat counters with a nice uppercut.

Ta moves to clinch but Cababat breaks away
and Cababat counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Ta badly! Cababat follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Ta out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Cababat finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Teovie Cababat!
