Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damien Kau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Pep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kau's entrance music is Kamikaze Kush- Sands. A fine choice. This should be fireworks!

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kau slips a jab and a cross from Pep.
Pep misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pep thows a body shot but no joy.
Kau looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kau moves out of range of the strikes.
Pep tries to bum rush Kau with a series of wild strikes but Kau uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Kau closes the distance and clinches.
Kau lands a right hand.
Kau escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pep misses the jab.

It looks like Damien Kau has been cut.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kau, right into the meat.
Willie Pep is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pep throws a combination that misses
and Kau counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pep is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kau rather than just go for the knockout.
Kau closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kau thows a huge punch but Pep dodges it nicely.

Kau shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pep manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kau wants to control from the top but Pep keeps moving.

Pep is looking to stand up but Kau isn't so interested in that idea.

Kau looking to sit in guard and control but Pep gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pep is looking to stand up but Kau won't let him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Pep pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kau back to the cage. Pep follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Willie Pep seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kau has Pep pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kau pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Pep tumbling to the mat - Kau dives into Pep's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Pep throws a one two combo.
Pep gets caught flat footed, as Kau shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kau throws a strike but Pep rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kau looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pep is one step ahead there.
Damien Kau overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kau has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Pep has passed into side control.

Kau is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Pep manages to capitalize on a mistake by Kau to take his back!
Kau tries to escape but Pep has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Pep has decided that he can't make progress quickly enough from the back position and has rather unusually decided to stand up from the dominant position. Obviously he's going to be looking for the knockout on the feet here!
Willie Pep seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kau tests Pep's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Pep looks to throw the jab but Kau is out of range.
Kau ducks under a wild hook from Pep.
Pep throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Kau counter with a right hand.
Pep takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Pep lands a nice looking body shot.
Kau has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pep finds it's way round the side to connect with Kau's head.

Pep throws a lazy right hand but Kau sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Kau throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pep fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pep throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kau on the side of the head.
Pep misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kau.
Pep throws a hook to the side of Kau's head but Kau sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kau moves into the clinch.
Kau has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pep avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Pep looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Kau keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pep's efforts to push away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A frustrated look appears on Pep's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Kau swings wildly with an uppercut but Pep uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pep looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Damien Kau.
I think Kau has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
