Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colonel Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Montreal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Colonel Singh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Montreal! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Singh closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Montreal looking for submissions off his back. Singh decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Singh checks a leg kick nicely. Montreal throws a leg kick but Singh sees it coming and moves out of range. Singh dives in and scores a takedown into Montreal's guard. Singh tries to free his leg and advance position but Montreal is retaining full guard. Montreal is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Singh sitting in guard here, content to control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Singh checks a low kick from Montreal. Montreal should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. That kick from Montreal tenderised Singh's leg. Singh is trying to keep his angry face on. Montreal connects with a leg kick. Singh looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Montreal looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Good leg kick by Montreal there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Montreal ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Singh moves away. Singh takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Montreal digs a good hook to Singh's body.
Singh is breathing heavily. Singh swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Montreal throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A low kick from Montreal misses and Singh counters with a left to the body. Montreal buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Singh scores with a takedown into Montreal's guard. Singh wants to control from the top but Montreal keeps moving. Montreal looking to hit a scissor sweep but Singh is one step ahead there. Montreal has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Singh is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Montreal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montreal is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Singh asserts his dominance and retains side control. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Montreal regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Montreal is trying to stand back up but Singh is controlling him
Singh passes the guard and advances to mount! Singh controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Johnny Montreal will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Montreal goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Singh avoids a kick to the body.
Montreal throws a half hearted mid kick. Montreal tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Singh is able to avoid easily. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Montreal has eaten all the pies! Singh rushes Montreal and presses him up against the cage. Montreal throws a head punch that misses. Montreal misses with a knee to the head. Singh has Montreal pushed against the cage. Singh blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Montreal wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Montreal has had enough of the clinch but Singh keeps him there for the moment. Singh wants the takedown. Montreal is fighting it off but Singh persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Montreal's guard against the cage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Montreal is trying is best to control the position here. Singh perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Colonel Singh. Montreal lands a nice leg kick that just misses Singh's sensitive parts. Singh blocks a low kick nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montreal connects with a leg kick. Singh looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Johnny Montreal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Montreal lands with a shot to the body. Singh uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Montreal. Montreal throws a solid leg kick but Singh takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Montreal. Singh goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Johnny Montreal has been cut. Montreal ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Montreal swings and misses with a hook to the body.

It looks like Colonel Singh has been cut. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Montreal connects with a body shot. Singh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Montreal's waist but Montreal gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Singh off to one side. Montreal is looking to slow Singh down with leg kicks. Montreal lands a nice leg kick that just misses Singh's sensitive parts. Colonel Singh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Montreal ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A slapping leg kick lands for Montreal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Montreal fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Montreal connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Montreal is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Singh rather than just go for the knockout. Singh takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Singh takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Montreal works Singh's body with a nice hook. Singh misses with the combination.
Montreal throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Singh stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Montreal fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Montreal scores with a leg kick.
Montreal goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Montreal scores with a kick to the midsection. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Montreal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Montreal misses with a knee to the head. Singh has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Montreal regains guard immediately. Montreal is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Singh is aware though and is defending well. Montreal takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Singh sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Singh decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Singh shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Singh showed some decent athleticism there. Singh stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Montreal looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Singh is controlling the pace.

Singh chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Montreal can pounce on him.
Montreal cracks Singh with a right hand to the side of the head. Singh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Montreal is trying to escape the mount.
Singh is landing with some decent strikes but Montreal is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Singh controlling from mount. Johnny Montreal is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Montreal wants to control but Singh is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Colonel Singh showed his dominance in that final round. I think Montreal has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
