Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 26 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Dominic Vera!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rasp moves into range and connects with a jab.
Vera throws a looping overhand right but Rasp ducks down to avoid it.
Vera throws a leg kick but Rasp sees it coming and moves out of range.
Vera tries to land a leg kick but Rasp saw it coming and moves away.
Rasp dives in and grabs Vera's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vera pushes down on Rasp's head and hops out.
Rasp ducks under a wild hook from Vera.

Rasp shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Vera is trying to defend but Rasp finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Rasp is looking for a kimura but Vera is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rasp to get the leverage.

Rasp is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vera is trying to stand up here but Rasp is controlling him well.

Rasp is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vera is just riding it out for now. Rasp eventually gives up the hold.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rasp accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Oh but Rasp is tightening it up a little... Vera has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight!
