Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Sagoth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John Sagoth was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuri Boyka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Sagoth! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sagoth gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Boyka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sagoth pushes Boyka up against the cage in a clinch. Sagoth breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Excellent takedown into side control there by Sagoth. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sagoth wants to lay and pray for a moment but Boyka keeps working. Sagoth looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Sagoth working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sagoth is trying to get an arm triangle but Boyka is defending well. Sagoth taking a breather here. Sagoth trying to control the action but Boyka is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sagoth taking a break here but Boyka is having none of it and regains half guard. Boyka is defending against the submission attempts here by Sagoth.
Sagoth is pressing down on Boyka's thigh, looking to free his foot. Boyka is holding on for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sagoth frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sagoth content just to control the position here. Sagoth trying to control but Boyka is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boyka is trying to escape the mount.
Sagoth controlling from the full mount. Sagoth fails to advance to Boyka's back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Sagoth dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boyka. Sagoth clinches up with Boyka and pushes him back against the cage. Sagoth's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sagoth throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Boyka shoots for a takedown but Sagoth saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Horrible takedown by Boyka or perhaps it was just good defense by Sagoth which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuri Boyka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sagoth gets a clinch. Boyka's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Boyka tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sagoth smiles and moves away.
Boyka misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyka fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Boyka tries to keep at a distance but Sagoth has taken the fight into the clinch. Sagoth pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sagoth swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Boyka decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sagoth's guard. Boyka controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Boyka is sitting in close to Sagoth's body. Sagoth has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Boyka is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Boyka is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Sagoth.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). John Sagoth! After the fight, John Sagoth was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
