Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brock Lesnar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tank Abott! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar darts in and clinches Abott up against the cage. Lesnar leaning against his opponent.
Lesnar prevents Abott from breaking the clinch. Abott is trying to pull guard but Lesnar has him pressed against the cage. Abott lands a body punch in the clinch. Abott pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lesnar closes the distance and clinches. Lesnar lands a right hand that snaps the head of Abott backwards. Lesnar lands with a left to the head. Abott struggles to land a body shot inside as Lesnar controls his hands.
Abott is defending well against a takedown attempt. Lesnar wants to break free but Abott has control.
Lesnar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Abott lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Abott will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Abott misses with a takedown and Lesnar holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Brock Lesnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tank Abott. Lesnar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abott will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Brock Lesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A punch combination from Lesnar misses. No joy there for Lesnar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A head kick misses from Lesnar. Abott works Lesnar's body with a nice hook. Lesnar tries to clinch up. Lesnar throws a head kick that misses. Lesnar has Abott up against the cage in a clinch.
Abott with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut. Lesnar is breathing heavily. Abott turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Abott manages to end up in side control. This has been an exciting period of action! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Lesnar manages to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lesnar wants to get back to full guard. Lesnar throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Abott takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Lesnar works his way to full guard. Good work. Lesnar working a defensive guard here.
Abott looking to pass the guard. Lesnar is pulling down on Abott's head. It's preventing any offense from Abott, at least for the moment. Lesnar wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abott trying to control the position from guard on top but Lesnar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Abott trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lesnar's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We're going to have a standup here because Brock Lesnar wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Lesnar moves into the clinch successfully.
Abott breaks the clinch.
Abott shoots in but Lesnar avoids the takedown attempt easily. Lesnar tries to bum rush Abott with a series of wild strikes but Abott uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Some wild striking there from Lesnar.
Abott changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lesnar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lesnar tries to bench press Abott off him but Abott keeps the position. Lesnar wants to control but Abott postures up. Abott tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Lesnar is looking to regain half guard here but Abott keeps moving and retains side control. Abott remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lesnar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Abott wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tank Abott dominated that round. The cut man is working on Brock Lesnar's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Abott tries to close the distance and clinch but Lesnar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lesnar fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Abott. Lesnar throws a right and a left that Abott avoids nicely. Abott tries for a takedown but Lesnar circles away easily and Lesnar counters by moving into the clinch. Lesnar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lesnar is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lesnar tries to clinch there but Abott circles away.
Lesnar throws a one two combo.
It looks like Tank Abott has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lesnar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Abott paws at him with a jab and circles away. A punch combination from Abott misses. Lesnar goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. The ref watches Abott closely before deciding to step in and end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brock Lesnar! A relieved looking Brock Lesnar thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
