3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dule Peterson! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterson wants to clinch up but Deathstar keeps it at a distance. Deathstar connects with a high kick. Peterson fails with a takedown attempt. Deathstar scores with a takedown into Peterson's guard. Deathstar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Peterson is keeping the position for now. Peterson wants to stand but Deathstar is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Deathstar postures up.
Deathstar advances to half guard. Peterson works his way to full guard. Good work. Deathstar tries to free his leg and advance position but Peterson is retaining full guard. Peterson keeping moving, preventing Deathstar from controlling successfully. Deathstar being controlled here momentarily. Deathstar trying to control the position from guard on top but Peterson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Peterson lands an upkick as Deathstar stands over him. Deathstar throwing strikes but missing.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Peterson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Deathstar tries for a takedown but Peterson circles away easily and Peterson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Deathstar lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Peterson! Deathstar unloads with some shots from mount but Peterson bucks and avoids them well.

Peterson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Peterson tries to reverse the position but Deathstar maintains control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Deathstar wants to control the pace but Peterson is squirming around nicely. Peterson wants to control but Deathstar is having none of it. Peterson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Deathstar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Peterson is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterson bucks Deathstar off and manages to get back to his feet! Deathstar shoots and misses and Peterson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Peterson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Deathstar looking to control.
Peterson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Deathstar trying to keep a closed guard but Peterson is proving a slippery customer.
Deathstar looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Peterson tries to free his leg and advance position but Deathstar is retaining full guard. Peterson wants to get up but he can't break Deathstar's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Deathstar wants to hit a switch here but Peterson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Deathstar there! Peterson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Deathstar can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

A nice elbow there by Peterson. Peterson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Deathstar is looking to escape. Peterson landing strikes from the mount and Deathstar is in trouble! Deathstar can't escape the position.
Peterson avoids the attempt from Deathstar to control. Deathstar is looking to get to half guard. Deathstar tries to lock up and control but Peterson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andreas Deathstar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A head kick misses from Deathstar. Peterson shoots and misses and Deathstar counters with a straight punch to the midsection. The fight stays on the outside here - Peterson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Deathstar lands with a hook. Peterson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Deathstar rushes Peterson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Peterson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Deathstar scores with a sloppy right hand. Peterson should have avoided that one. Excellent takedown into side control there by Peterson. Deathstar sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Deathstar manages to get to full guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Peterson wanted to stand there but Deathstar had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Deathstar has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Peterson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Deathstar. Peterson decides to stand back up. Peterson steps back and let's Deathstar get back to his feet. Peterson shoots in but Deathstar avoids the takedown attempt easily. A solid body kick from Deathstar. Deathstar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Peterson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Peterson scores a takedown into full mount! Deathstar in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Peterson with shots to the head and body - Deathstar looks very uncomfortable down there. Deathstar is rocked! Peterson landing punches. Oh Deathstar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Peterson is landing with some decent strikes but Deathstar is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Peterson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Deathstar tries to improve his position but instead Peterson has taken his back! Dule Peterson has got the better of the ground game so far. Deathstar is keeping busy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Peterson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Deathstar shoots and misses and Peterson counters with a single leg into guard. Deathstar didn't expect that. Peterson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Peterson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Peterson uses his free foot to push down on Deathstar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Deathstar. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dule Peterson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Deathstar is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Deathstar controls Peterson momentarily but Peterson frees himself. Peterson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Deathstar has a closed guard, preventing Peterson from standing up. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. It looks like Andreas Deathstar has been cut. Peterson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Peterson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Deathstar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Peterson blocks the strikes from Deathstar.
Deathstar is looking to control Peterson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Deathstar avoid being mounted? Peterson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Deathstar's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peterson wants to take a breather but Deathstar is having none of it. Deathstar moves into full guard.
Deathstar is working an open guard so Peterson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Deathstar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Peterson as he jumps to the side. Deathstar moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Peterson gets a takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Deathstar trying to control from the bottom.

Deathstar misses with a takedown attempt and Peterson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andreas Deathstar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peterson wants to stand but Deathstar has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Deathstar actively working from the bottom here. Deathstar changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Deathstar, as that shot connected.
Deathstar doesn't succeed with the takedown and Peterson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Deathstar looking for submissions off his back. Peterson lands with a punch from half guard. Peterson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Deathstar defends it well. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Peterson wants to take a breather but Deathstar is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Dule Peterson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Peterson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
