Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gnagis Starksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kato Hanzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Starksson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Scooter Weekend. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gnagis Starksson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kato Hanzo! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanzo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Starksson shoots for a takedown but Hanzo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Starksson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Starksson shoots in for a takedown but Hanzo shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gnagis Starksson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hanzo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hanzo misses with a two punch combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hanzo lands with a hook. Starksson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Hanzo scores with the left hand. Starksson knows he should have avoided that one. Starksson is breathing heavily. Hanzo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hanzo looks to land a combination but Starksson avoids it well. Hanzo fails to land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanzo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Hanzo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hanzo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hanzo pulls Starksson in close to prevent any damage. Starksson trying to control the position from guard on top but Hanzo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hanzo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hanzo wants to sweep but no luck. Hanzo trying to keep a closed guard but Starksson is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Starksson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hanzo but Hanzo pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hanzo with a body punch. A glancing blow. Hanzo clinches up against the cage. Starksson blocks an uppercut.

Hanzo gets through Starksson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Hanzo goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Starksson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hanzo regains guard immediately.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hanzo wants to sweep but no luck. Starksson trying to control but Hanzo is working from the bottom. Starksson looking to pass the guard. Starksson wants to control from the top but Hanzo keeps moving. Starksson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Starksson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hanzo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Starksson, into his guard. Starksson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hanzo controls the pace. Hanzo trying to control but Starksson is working from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Starksson working for a triangle but Hanzo defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kato Hanzo dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Nice shot lands for Hanzo. Starksson misses with a takedown attempt - Hanzo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Starksson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hanzo is fending him off so far but Starksson persists. Nope, Hanzo circles away and we're back to standing. Nice sprawl there from Hanzo as Starksson shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gnagis Starksson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Starksson tries for a takedown but Hanzo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Good shot there by Hanzo. Hanzo connects with a nice cross there... Starksson is looking wobbly and Hanzo recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Starksson to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Hanzo jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
