Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orlando Delgado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucas comes to the cage accompanied by GLADIADOR - Now we are free. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Orlando Delgado! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Delgado dives in and scores a takedown into Lucas's guard. Delgado gets to his feet. Lucas looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Lucas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Delgado tries to avoid it but Lucas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Delgado to the ground. Delgado escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Delgado gets a clinch. Lucas is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Delgado is keeping busy. Lucas tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Delgado smiles and moves away.
Delgado looks to land a combination but Lucas avoids it well. Delgado dives in and scores a takedown into Lucas's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lucas keeping moving, preventing Delgado from controlling successfully. Delgado lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Delgado wants to control from the top but Lucas keeps moving. Delgado has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Delgado keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lucas's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Delgado is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Delgado throws a big elbow that misses. Delgado wants to control from the top but Lucas keeps moving. Delgado gets to his feet. Lucas looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Lucas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Delgado. Delgado shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Delgado not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Delgado not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Delgado lands a nice short elbow. Delgado decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Lucas is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Delgado changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lucas tries to avoid it but Delgado manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lucas to the ground. Lucas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Delgado displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lucas. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matheus Lucas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lucas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Delgado but Delgado pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three minutes gone in the round. Delgado throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Delgado clinches up with Lucas and pushes him back against the cage. Delgado has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lucas uses from the top position. Delgado has his foot on Lucas's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lucas works his way back into a safe position though. Lucas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Delgado on the ground. Delgado working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lucas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Delgado is tightening it up a little... Lucas has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Lucas reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lucas taps out! Nice BJJ there by Delgado!
