Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arron Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chayse Bowser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Arron Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chayse Bowser!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowser throws a nice head kick!
Alvarez slaps away a takedown attempt from Bowser, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Alvarez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bowser sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice sprawl there from Alvarez as Bowser shoots in.

Alvarez feints and as Bowser raises his hands in defense, Alvarez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bowser is on top in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alvarez wants to stand and escape but Bowser is having none of it.

You can see the frustration on Alvarez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

No joy there for Alvarez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bowser drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bowser jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Alvarez is trying to hold Bowser in close to prevent damage but Bowser has managed to pass into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Arron Alvarez will probably get the nod.

Bowser misses with a takedown attempt

It looks like Chayse Bowser has been cut.
Alvarez cracks Bowser with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Arron Alvarez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Alvarez wants to control the pace but Bowser is squirming around nicely.
Bowser slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Alvarez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Bowser is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Alvarez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Alvarez's back!

Bowser is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Alvarez has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Bowser is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Alvarez is defending well though. Bowser let's go of the attempt for now.

Bowser fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Alvarez dives in and scores a takedown into Bowser's guard.
Alvarez throws an elbow that misses. Bowser uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Alvarez's guard. Nice move by Bowser!
