Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Nuzzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Bator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bator avoids a punch combination nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nuzzi. Bator does a little dance to reset his feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bator is defended easily by Nuzzi. Nuzzi swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Bator counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bator throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bator is figuring out what he wants to do next. Nuzzi avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bator. Bator throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Bator thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nuzzi's head. Bator lands with a punch from half guard. Nuzzi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nuzzi tries to get out of the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bator is controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bator in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Nuzzi is breathing heavily. Bator wants to control but Nuzzi is keeping him busy. Bator tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Bator trying to control the action but Nuzzi is working from the bottom. Bator lands an elbow. Bator lands a decent elbow from side control.

Nuzzi parries the strikes from Bator easily there. Bator is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Nuzzi to escape.
Bator tries to score with some ground and pound. Nuzzi controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Bator creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Bator tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bator has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Bator in side control lands a decent elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Piotr Bator dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bator shoots for a double leg takedown but Nuzzi sprawls well. He's pushed Bator's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nuzzi slaps away a takedown attempt from Bator, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bator shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nuzzi sprawls well. Nuzzi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bator gets slowly back to his feet. Ryan Nuzzi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Bator putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Bator with shots to the head and body - Nuzzi looks very uncomfortable down there. Nuzzi is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bator throwing strikes here but Nuzzi is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Bator cracks Nuzzi with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Bator working Nuzzi over with strikes here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bator fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Nuzzi is rocked! Bator content just to control the position here. Bator lands with some strikes. Oh Nuzzi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Nuzzi takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Bator with the ground and pound from mount.
