Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Povidlo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marian Krupnik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Povidlo comes to the cage accompanied by NSVL. Krupnik has chosen The Dreadnoughts - Sleep is for the Weak as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rodrigo Povidlo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marian Krupnik! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krupnik stuffs the takedown attempt from Povidlo. Povidlo gets slowly back to his feet. Krupnik closes the distance and pushes Povidlo back into the cage. Krupnik is trying to force a seperation but Povidlo has the dominant position. Povidlo jumps guard but Krupnik stands there with Povidlo around his waist. Povidlo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Krupnik is defending well against a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodrigo Povidlo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Krupnik gets a trip takedown into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Krupnik wants to pass to mount but Povidlo is defending the position. Krupnik missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Krupnik lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Krupnik missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Krupnik wants to lay and pray for a moment but Povidlo keeps working. Krupnik is looking for a kimura here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krupnik decides to stand and escape the position. Povidlo lands a right hook to the body.
Krupnik stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Povidlo. Marian Krupnik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Povidlo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Krupnik to score with a decent uppercut. Krupnik sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Krupnik tries to score a power double leg takedown but Povidlo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Krupnik somewhat. Povidlo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Krupnik to score an easy takedown into full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Povidlo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Povidlo looking for a sweep. Not yet Povidlo, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Krupnik is looking to work some ground and pound but Povidlo has wrist control. Krupnik is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Povidlo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Krupnik defends well. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Krupnik accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Povidlo has momentary wrist control but Krupnik slips an elbow through the middle. Krupnik keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Povidlo's head. Krupnik lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Krupnik throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Krupnik trying to control but Povidlo is working from the bottom. Povidlo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Povidlo wants to stand but Krupnik is controlling the position. Krupnik is looking to work some ground and pound but Povidlo has wrist control. Povidlo is breathing heavily. Krupnik throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Krupnik's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Krupnik postures up and lands a big shot to Povidlo's brow. Krupnik postures up and lands a big shot to Povidlo's brow. Krupnik trying to control but Povidlo is working from the bottom. Krupnik works over Povidlo with some ground and pound from guard. Krupnik postures up in Povidlo's guard and throws a big left but Povidlo blocks it. Krupnik tries to free his leg and advance position but Povidlo is retaining full guard. Povidlo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Krupnik looking to pass the guard. Krupnik wants to control from the top but Povidlo keeps moving. Povidlo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Krupnik. Krupnik cracks Povidlo with a solid left hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Krupnik is working Povidlo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Krupnik with a flurry of punches that miss. Krupnik stopping the sweep attempt from Povidlo. Krupnik must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Krupnik postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Krupnik scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Krupnik trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Krupnik stands up and waves to Povidlo to follow him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marian Krupnik dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Povidlo lands a leg kick that knocks Krupnik off balance momentarily. The fight stays on the outside here - Krupnik looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Decent striking displayed by Krupnik there. Krupnik moves into the clinch. Povidlo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Povidlo landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Krupnik is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Povidlo fails to pull guard.
Krupnik tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Povidlo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Krupnik just stands there and leans against the cage. Krupnik tries to pull guard but Povidlo forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Krupnik gets through Povidlo's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Povidlo tries for a takedown. No joy.

Povidlo is fighting off a takedown attempt but Krupnik is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Povidlo to the mat. Povidlo regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Krupnik in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Krupnik working some strikes from top position. Krupnik content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Krupnik postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Povidlo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Krupnik, into his guard. Povidlo stopping the sweep attempt from Krupnik. Krupnik pulls Povidlo in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Povidlo won't allow Krupnik to sweep him here. Krupnik throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
This has been an exciting period of action! Krupnik utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Krupnik is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Povidlo throwing strikes but missing. Povidlo stopping the sweep attempt from Krupnik.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krupnik is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Krupnik trying to keep a closed guard but Povidlo is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Marian Krupnik has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Povidlo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Krupnik is fending him off so far but Povidlo persists. Nope, Krupnik circles away and we're back to standing. Krupnik darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Povidlo trying to hold on to Krupnik's head to control him but Krupnik postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Povidlo is not content to let Krupnik control the position. Krupnik throwing shots but Povidlo is blocking nicely. Krupnik is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Krupnik is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Povidlo has managed to free his arm - good work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Povidlo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Krupnik. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marian Krupnik showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Krupnik tries to close the distance and clinch up but Povidlo swats him away and circles back towards the center. Povidlo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Povidlo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Krupnik scores with a nice right hand.
Krupnik fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Povidlo to the ground. Krupnik is now in Povidlo's guard. Krupnik passes easily into side control. Nice work. Krupnik tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Povidlo tries to strike from the bottom but misses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Krupnik working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Krupnik staying calm. Krupnik trying to control the position but Povidlo is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krupnik might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Povidlo kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. An elbow from Krupnik crashes against the mat.
Krupnik working the ground and pound from side control. Krupnik in side control lands a decent elbow. Krupnik looks up at the clock and then as Povidlo takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Krupnik smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Krupnik goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Povidlo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Krupnik but great work by Povidlo. Povidlo gets to mount! Krupnik was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Povidlo working the ground and pound effectively.
Krupnik tries to reverse the position but Povidlo maintains control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krupnik is squirming around, avoiding Povidlo's attempts to control the action. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Povidlo prevents Krupnik from getting the reversal. Krupnik looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Krupnik tries to roll but Povidlo sticks to his back.
Krupnik turns into Povidlo and is now in his guard.
Krupnik takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Krupnik stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Povidlo throws up his legs and catches Krupnik in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Krupnik tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Povidlo! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Rodrigo Povidlo! Rodrigo Povidlo decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
