Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Quintana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Andre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andre has chosen Fort Minor - Remember The Name as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jesus Quintana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Andre!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quintana bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Andre's guard.

Quintana drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Quintana jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters circling - Quintana throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Quintana misses with an uppercut. Andre saw that one coming.
Andre buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Andre throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Quintana throws a shot from downtown. Andre moves away and avoids it.
Andre moves out of range as Quintana strikes.
Andre throws a sloppy head kick and Quintana moves out of range easily.
Quintana connects with a crisp jab.
Quintana looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Andre is fending him off so far but Quintana persists. Nope, Andre circles away and we're back to standing.

Quintana shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Andre but Andre pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Andre throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Andre wants to clinch up but Quintana keeps it at a distance.
Quintana throws a looping overhand right but Andre ducks down to avoid it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Quintana gets a clinch.
Andre looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Andre is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Andre misses with a knee strike.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Andre wants to stall.
Quintana has Andre pressed against the cage, preventing Andre from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Quintana lands a nice uppercut.
Quintana throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Andres head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jesus Quintana dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Andre will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Quintana connects with a body shot that sends Andre's belly button to the back.
Andre takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Quintana keeps the fight on the outside.
Andre avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Andre tries to bum rush Quintana with a series of wild strikes but Quintana uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Andre throws a right and a left that Quintana avoids nicely.
Andre is breathing heavily.

Quintana closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Andre to the mat! Andre manages to get full guard.
Andre is still in real trouble! Can Quintana finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Quintana bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Andre's head backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Andre tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Quintana lands a right hook to the body.
Quintana lands an overhand right.
Quintana pounces like a tiger and cracks Andre with a vicious hook! Andre is down but not out! Quintana follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jesus Quintana!
