Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Farrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Paul Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Farrell kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Enter Sandman. Paul Jr has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Justin Paul Jr! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Farrell misses the jab. Farrell shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Paul Jr manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Paul Jr looks winded! Farrell postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Paul Jr avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Farrell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Paul Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard. Farrell has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Farrell trying to control but Paul Jr is working from the bottom. Farrell throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Farrell trying to control the position from guard on top but Paul Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Farrell connects with a nice short shot to Paul Jr's temple. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Farrell working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Paul Jr is refusing to be controlled, as Farrell sits in half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Farrell lands a nice short elbow. Farrell working the head and body with strikes. Farrell content to control rather than advance. Farrell throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Farrell winds up and cracks Paul Jr with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Farrell looks to score some points with some ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Farrell wants to take a breather but Paul Jr is having none of it. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Farrell lands a nice short elbow. Paul Jr wants to get back to full guard. Farrell lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Farrell takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Farrell is trying to control the action in half guard but Paul Jr is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Farrell is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Farrell is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Paul Jr is hurt! He's hurt bad - Farrell fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Paul Jr from any more punishment! Congratulations to Farrell! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Farrell! Brandon Farrell spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
