Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cyclone Major (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jett Latham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Major comes to the cage accompanied by Rock you like a hurricane. Jett Latham has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cyclone Major! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jett Latham! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Latham fails in his attempt to clinch. Latham fails in his attempt to clinch. Latham misses with an uppercut. Latham misses with the combination.
Major fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Major avoids a punch combination nicely.
Major closes the distance and clinches up with Latham, looking for a takedown. Major pushes Latham against the cage but Latham circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Latham scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Major shoots in and drives through. Latham sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cyclone Major. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jab from Latham. Latham tries a low kick but Major avoids it. Major closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Latham is trying to stand back up. Latham stalks Major and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Major's face. Major staggers backwards, shaken. Latham looks gassed! Latham misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Major.
Latham is looking to clinch. Latham throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Major tries for a takedown but Latham sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Major shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Latham as he avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Major shoots in for a takedown but Latham shows good takedown defense. Latham throws a series of punches but Major avoids them all with ease. Latham missing with a left hand there. Major was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A combination from Latham does no damage. Latham looks to land a combination but Major avoids it well. Major tries for a takedown but Latham sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Latham misses with the combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Latham is trying to stand. Latham blocking the ground and pound. Major dominating with strikes here. Major will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Major looking to finish with strikes here!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Major is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Major bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Latham taking punishment in the form of punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Major throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. An elbow from Major crashes against the mat.
Latham tries to escape but Major is in control. Latham takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Major throws a strike aimed at the side of Latham's head but Latham avoids it well. Latham tries to escape but Major is in control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Latham is trying to control Major's posture but Major avoids it. Major throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Latham wants to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Cyclone Major will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Major fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Latham sprawls well initially but Major persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Major prevents Latham from improving his position. Latham is trying to stand up here but Major is controlling him well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Major not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Major stops Latham from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Latham slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Latham keeping full guard, as Major tries to pass. Major postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Latham wants to stand but Major is controlling the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Major shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Latham's guard. Major throwing strikes from guard but Latham blocks nicely. Latham avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Major trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Major really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Major in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Major stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Latham swivels though and keeps the full guard. Latham preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Major working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Major content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Major accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Latham lands a two punch combo.
Major throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Latham's waist but Latham gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Major off to one side. Latham misses with a few strikes there.

A nice elbow there by Major. Major is in the full mount, landing strikes. Latham is bucking up trying to escape but Major cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Latham wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

And that's the end of the fight! Cyclone Major showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Major, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
