Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Gunn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hicks won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gunn controls the position.
Hicks tries to bench press Gunn off him but Gunn keeps the position.

Hicks tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Hicks tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gunn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Gunn should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Gunn decides to stand back up. Gunn steps back and let's Hicks get back to his feet.

Gunn seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Hicks is staying active underneath Gunn, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Hicks is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gunn pulls his head out easily.

Gunn is taking a breather. Hicks says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

and Gunn decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hicks's guard.

Gunn is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hicks looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gunn gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hicks is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gunn lets go of the hold and Hicks can pop his arm back in it's socket.
