The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyle is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Boon's half guard.
Kyle is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kyle is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Boon defends it well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kyle is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Boon pulls his head out easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kyle has his foot on Boon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boon works his way back into a safe position though.

Kyle is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Boon defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Kyle shoots in looking for a takedown. Boon tries to sprawl out of it but Kyle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Boon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Kyle.

Kyle tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kyle has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kyle goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Boon has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kyle but great work by Boon.

Boon has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kyle to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Boon is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kyle pulls down on the head and he's put Boon to sleep! This one is all over!
