Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Angus McZongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaxon Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McZongo comes to the cage accompanied by Skiltron- Sword and Shield. Silva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ain't No Sunshine - (DMX). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

McZongo throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and McZongo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
McZongo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
McZongo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Silva throws a leg kick which misses McZongo's front leg but catches the back leg as McZongo tries to avoid it.

Silva lands a big head kick that sends McZongo tumbling to the mat! Silva takes a step backwards and waves McZongo back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

McZongo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

McZongo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silva defends it well.
McZongo wants to pass the guard but Silva is defending well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.
McZongo works his foot free and advances to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, McZongo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McZongo wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely.

Silva is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

McZongo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silva is looking to escape.

Silva uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McZongo has time to react.
McZongo gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Silva gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
