Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yngve Ingvar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shadow Deathgrip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shadow Deathgrip will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Deathgrip.
Deathgrip gets a takedown into half guard.
Deathgrip is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Deathgrip seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ingvar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ingvar manages to get to full guard.

Deathgrip slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Deathgrip throwing strikes but Ingvar manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Deathgrip crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ingvar - the referee stops the clock and Deathgrip gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ingvar. Deathgrip manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Deathgrip throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ingvar's waist but Ingvar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Deathgrip off to one side.

Ingvar is pressed up against the cage. Deathgrip has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ingvar down to the mat. Ingvar avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Deathgrip avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A lazy left from Ingvar finds it's target.

Ingvar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Yngve Ingvar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ingvar bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Ingvar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Deathgrip manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Deathgrip closes the distance and clinches up with Ingvar, looking for a takedown. Deathgrip pushes Ingvar against the cage but Ingvar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ingvar lands a nice looking kick to the body. Deathgrip takes a step back to recover.
Deathgrip is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ingvar.
Ingvar throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ingvar stuns Deathgrip with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Ingvar lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ingvar fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Deathgrip looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
