Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rex Botic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Fitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitch gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Botic to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Fitch wants to stand and escape but Botic is having none of it.
Botic trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Botic drops back looking for a leg! Fitch is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fitch manages to kick Botic off! Botic jumps back into Fitch's guard.

Botic drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Botic jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Botic sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fitch's guard.
Botic has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Fitch defend it? Botic steps over the head and cranks it - Fitch is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Botic!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rex Botic!
Rex Botic really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Blood Bank ($10) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
