Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Dent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arthur Dent is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Machida as Dent shoots in.
Horrible takedown by Dent or perhaps it was just good defense by Machida which made him look bad.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dent throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Machida's waist but Machida gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dent off to one side.

Machida tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Machida throws a nice looking combination but Dent bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Dent closes this distance looking for a takedown but Machida circles away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dent shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Dent goes for an armbar but Machida turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Machida.
Dent escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Machida gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dent striking off his back but it's not causing Machida any problems.

Dent throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Dent looking for a guillotine here but Machida defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dent wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dent trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Machida won't allow Dent to sweep him here.

Machida throws a hook but Dent blocks it.
Dent looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Machida is fending him off so far but Dent persists. Nope, Machida circles away and we're back to standing.

Machida throws a right and a left that Dent avoids nicely.
Machida swats away the attempt to clinch by Dent.
Dent fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Machida misses with a wild combination.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dent has a takedown stuffed.
Dent shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Machida as he jumps to the side.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dent fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lyoto Machida showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Dent shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Machida as he avoids it easily.
Dent fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Dent shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Machida's guard.
Dent trying to control the position from guard on top but Machida is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dent in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Dent with a flurry of punches that miss.
Dent drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Machida dives on top into guard.

Machida tries to stand but Dent is controlling from the bottom.
Machida looking to sit in guard and control but Dent gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Machida looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Dent has picked Machida up and slammed him! Machida can't keep hold of the triangle and Dent manages to pass to side control!

Dent has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Dent closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Machida to the mat! Machida manages to get full guard.
Machida can't keep his opponent in guard - Dent advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dent stalling.
And that's the end of the fight!
Arthur Dent showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Dent has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
