Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Gale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gale comes to the cage accompanied by Iron Maiden-The Trooper. Tanner has chosen Once I was a Champion as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Gale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evan Tanner! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gale's waist but Gale gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tanner off to one side. Gale lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tanner circles away quickly and effectively. Tanner fails with the takedown and Gale cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Gale really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A punch combination from Gale misses. A punch combination from Gale misses. Gale swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Gale attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Gale throws a left that rocks Tanner and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Gale dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Tanner regain composure!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Gale in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Gale is trying to ground and pound but Tanner uses the momentary lack of control by Gale to regain half guard. Gale is trying to control the action in half guard but Tanner is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanner is looking to escape. Gale is trying to control. Tanner wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gale is looking for a kimura here.
Gale is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tanner is just riding it out for now. Gale eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tanner is trying to stand up here but Gale is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gale is keen to just control but Tanner is a slippery customer. Tanner looks like he's trying to stand up.
Gale will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tanner is defending against the submission attempts here by Gale.
Gale throwing shots but Tanner is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tanner has one foot on Gale's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Tanner tries for a takedown but Gale circles away easily and Gale counters with a left and a right that stings Tanner. Chris Gale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evan Tanner. Tanner doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gale counters with a three punch combo that has Tanner backing up. Tanner nods at Gale to acknowledge the strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tanner dives in and grabs Gale's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gale pushes down on Tanner's head and hops out. Tanner bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Tanner throwing strikes but Gale manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Gale dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Tanner shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gale counters with a nice uppercut. Tanner shoots in for a takedown but Gale shows good takedown defense. Tanner gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gale counters with a lovely straight right hand! Chris Gale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evan Tanner. Tanner shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gale counters with a right hand to the body. Tanner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gale sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tanner somewhat. Gale closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Tanner is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Tanner ducks into an uppercut from Gale and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chris Gale! An out of breath Chris Gale thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
