Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Devon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Devon! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Devon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Manhoef defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Devon. Manhoef stuffs the takedown attempt from Devon. Devon gets slowly back to his feet. Devon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Manhoef sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Devon somewhat. Melvin Manhoef has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Devon. Devon misses with a takedown attempt - Manhoef sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Manhoef instigates a clinch. Manhoef escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Devon takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Manhoef dives in and grabs Devon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Devon pushes down on Manhoef's head and hops out. Manhoef gets caught flat footed, as Devon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Manhoef manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Devon manages to get himself to full guard.

Devon looks winded! Devon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Manhoef defends well. Manhoef throws a big elbow that misses. Manhoef might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Devon's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Manhoef thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Devon's head. Manhoef looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Manhoef wants to work for an arm triangle but Devon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manhoef thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Devon tries to get to full guard but Manhoef has control of the leg. Manhoef is figuring out what he wants to do next. Manhoef's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Manhoef trying to mount his opponent but Devon defends it. Manhoef stands up out of the half guard. Devon throws a sloppy head kick and Manhoef moves out of range easily. Manhoef fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Devon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Manhoef manages to get back to half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Manhoef makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Manhoef. Manhoef has his foot on Devon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Devon works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Manhoef has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Devon is working away from the top position though. Manhoef tries to kick Devon off but Devon keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. James Devon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Devon fails to land with a series of punches.
Devon is breathing heavily. Devon stuffs the takedown attempt from Manhoef. Manhoef gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Devon throws a half hearted mid kick. Devon blocks a head kick by Manhoef.
Devon shoots in looking for a takedown but Manhoef manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Devon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Devon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Manhoef has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Melvin Manhoef. That's going to take a lot out of him. Manhoef fails with a takedown attempt. Melvin Manhoef is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Devon has closed the distance and engaged Manhoef in a clinch.

Devon is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Manhoef throwing strikes but missing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Devon throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Devon manages to get full guard. Devon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Manhoef controls the pace. Manhoef works a leg free and moves into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manhoef is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Melvin Manhoef overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Manhoef is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Manhoef postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Devon to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Devon fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Manhoef checks it well. Devon fails in his attempt to clinch. Manhoef shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Devon but Devon pushes him off and we're back to square one. Manhoef throws a series of punches but Devon avoids them all with ease. Manhoef moves into the clinch. Manhoef is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Devon avoiding damage as Manhoef throws knees to the body.
Devon tries to work over Manhoef's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Devon tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Manhoef's elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Devon gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Manhoef.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Melvin Manhoef. That's going to take a lot out of him. Devon jumps guard but Manhoef stands there with Devon around his waist. Devon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Manhoef breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Devon clinches up with Manhoef and pushes him back against the cage. Devon is trying to drag Manhoef to the mat but Manhoef just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Manhoef has Devon pressed against the cage.
Manhoef drops down looking for an ankle pick but Devon pulls his leg out and moves away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Manhoef keeps the fight on the outside.
And that's the end of the fight! Melvin Manhoef showed his dominance in that final round. Well Manhoef has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
