Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johny Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kwame Akabaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akabaro has chosen Matenrou Opera - Dolce as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kwame Akabaro!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akabaro thumps Baker with a low kick.
Akabaro misses with a kick to the body
and Baker counters with a nice body kick.
Akabaro tries a low kick but Baker avoids it.
Akabaro feints and then cracks Baker's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Baker down.
Nice shot lands for Akabaro.
Baker feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Akabaros jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
A head kick misses from Baker.
Baker blocks a low kick nicely.

An inside leg kick from Akabaro misses.
Akabaro throws a leg kick which misses Baker's front leg but catches the back leg as Baker tries to avoid it.
Baker ducks under a wild hook from Akabaro.
A looping hook to the body misses from Baker. Akabaro does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Baker takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Akabaro misses with an attempted mid kick.
Akabaro pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Akabaro misses with a head kick.
Akabaro takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A nice leg kick lands there from Akabaro.
Akabaro throws a lazy body kick
and Baker counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Baker lands a jab.
Baker drives through and clinches with Akabaro against the cage.

Baker keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Akabaro's efforts to push away.
Akabaro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kwame Akabaro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Akabaro.
Akabaro throws a lazy right hand but Baker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Akabaro turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Akabaro tries to score with a low kick but Baker moves his leg out of the way.
Akabaro lands with a thumping leg kick.
Baker throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Akabaro counters with a nice leg kick.

Baker fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Baker chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Akabaro can pounce on him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Baker moves forwards but Akabaro connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Johny Baker has been cut.
Akabaro connects with a solid leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Baker connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Akabaro momentarily.
Akabaro goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Baker moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kwame Akabaro dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Johny Baker's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Baker goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Baker throws an overhand right that lands on Akabaro's shoulder, as Akabaro tries to avoid the shot.
Akabaro looks to throw a body kick
and Baker counters with a nice body kick.
Akabaro scores with a hook to the body. Baker takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
A slapping body kick lands there for Akabaro.
Akabaro lands a left and a right that send Baker crashing to the mat, dazed. Akabaro thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Baker is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Baker leaves his chin hanging out and Akabaro seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Baker crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kwame Akabaro!
