The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryba throws a head kick that Diccico semi-blocks.
It looks like Miguel Diccico has been cut.
Diccico shoots for a double leg takedown but Ryba sprawls well. He's pushed Diccico's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ryba tries a head kick but it misses.
Mike Ryba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ryba throws a sloppy head kick and Diccico moves out of range easily.

Ryba wants to get up but he can't break Diccico's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ryba gets to his feet - Diccico follows without any prompting.

Ryba clinches up with Diccico and pushes him back against the ropes.

Diccico has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ryba uses from the top position.
Diccico seems to have recovered his senses.

Ryba decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Diccico looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ryba is fending him off so far but Diccico persists. Nope, Ryba circles away and we're back to standing.

Diccico decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Oh Ryba is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Diccico shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Ryba is on queer street and Diccico is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Miguel Diccico!
