PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bang Bang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bud Macintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bud Macintosh was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bang Bang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bud Macintosh!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macintosh moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Bang misses with a looping right.
Bang throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Macintosh throws a right and a left that both miss.
Macintosh jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Macintosh cracks Bang with an open hand slap.
Bang lands with an uppercut that bounces Macintosh off the cage and back into range.
Bang lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Macintosh defending well as Bang loads up on a big left hand.
Bang throws a right hand that Macintosh ducks under and follows up with a left that Macintosh also avoids with ease.
Bud Macintosh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters circling - Bang throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A big right from Macintosh misses.

Macintosh shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bang is trying to defend but Macintosh finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Bang is trying to maintain the position but Macintosh is very close to passing his half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Macintosh seems to be looking for submissions.
Macintosh sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bang defending well though.
Macintosh throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bang is looking for a sweep. Macintosh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Macintosh misses with a head shot. Bang uses the momentum to regain guard.
Bang preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Macintosh looking to sit in guard and control but Bang gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Macintosh throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Bang is sitting in close to Macintosh's body. Macintosh has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Bang is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Bang is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Macintosh.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bud Macintosh!
Bud Macintosh decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
