Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derka Derka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Khan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derka Derka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Khan!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan misses with a wild combination.
Khan slips under a jab from Derka.
Khan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Derka but Derka pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Derka misses with a hook.
Derka throws a big shot that misses.
Khan blocks a jab.
Khan throws a hook but Derka blocks it.
Khan dives in and grabs Derka's left leg, looking for a takedown. Derka pushes down on Khan's head and hops out.
Derka misses with a hook.
A head kick from Derka lands but Khan takes it in his stride.
It looks like John Khan has been cut.
Derka lands an overhand right.
Khan tries to clinch up but Derka circles away and keeps his distance.
Derka throws a good cross that connects.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Khan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Derka.
Derka avoids a kick to the body.
Horrible takedown by Khan or perhaps it was just good defense by Derka which made him look bad.
Derka Derka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Khan.
Derka is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Derka misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Derka throws out a powerful jab.
Derka Derka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Derka finds it's way round the side to connect with Khan's head.
Khan is trying desperately to land a takedown but Derka is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Khan.
Derka throws out a loose jab but Khan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Derka throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Khan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Khan staying out of range there.
Khan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Derka looks to land a left hand but Khan moved out of range nicely.
Derka misses the jab.
A cross from Derka lands.
Derka connects with a crisp jab.
Derka looks to throw the jab but Khan is out of range.
Khan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Derka avoids it really well and circles away.
Khan staying out of range there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Derka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Khan drops his hands momentarily and Derka takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Khan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Derka to score with a decent uppercut.
Khan is rocked!
Crack! A monster head kick from Derka and Khan falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Derka!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Derka Derka!
After the fight, Derka Derka was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
