Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ed Dalsworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taran Widow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dalsworth comes into the arena with Dropkick Murphys, The warriors code blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ed Dalsworth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Taran Widow! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dalsworth shoots in looking for a takedown. Widow tries to sprawl out of it but Dalsworth keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Widow manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dalsworth drives through and clinches with Widow against the ropes.
Dalsworth stalling.
Dalsworth manages to break the clinch.
Dalsworth moves into the clinch. Widow wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dalsworth breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. No luck for Dalsworth with that takedown attempt. Widow throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dalsworth tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Widow is in Dalsworth's guard. Dalsworth controls Widow momentarily but Widow frees himself. Widow tries to free his leg and advance position but Dalsworth is retaining full guard. Widow working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dalsworth keeping moving, preventing Widow from controlling successfully. Widow is looking to advance position but Dalsworth has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Dalsworth is stalling here but it's allowed Widow to get half guard.
Dalsworth tries to stand and escape but Widow actually recovers to full guard. Widow trying to control the position.
Dalsworth wants to control from the top but Widow keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dalsworth has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Widow is proving hard to escape from. Widow is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dalsworth defends well. Widow working a defensive guard but Dalsworth manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dalsworth wants to stand but Widow has his arm trapped. Widow can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Widow is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dalsworth's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Widow is trying to get back to full guard. Dalsworth slows the pace down in half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Dalsworth is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Widow reverses the position - he's now on top in Dalsworth's guard.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Dalsworth is adopting a defensive guard. Widow pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dalsworth is keeping the position for now. Widow throws a big elbow that misses. Dalsworth wants to stand and escape but Widow is having none of it.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Widow slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Widow looking to pass the guard. Widow trying to control but Dalsworth is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dalsworth lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Widow tries to keep at a distance but Dalsworth has taken the fight into the clinch. Widow is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. The referee is keeping an eye on Dalsworth - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Dalsworth trying to land knees to the body.
Dalsworth escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Widow drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Widow wants to control from the top but Dalsworth keeps moving. Widow sitting in guard, not really doing much. Widow loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Widow slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Dalsworth is letting Widow control him for a moment.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Dalsworth is trying to buck Widow off. Widow tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Widow trying to control the action but Dalsworth is working from the bottom. Widow tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Widow has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Dalsworth pushes Widow away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Widow gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Widow wants to control but Dalsworth is keeping him busy. Widow looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dalsworth managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Widow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Taran Widow will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Widow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dalsworth as he jumps to the side. Dalsworth darts in and clinches Widow up against the ropes. Dalsworth manages to break the clinch.
Widow takes a shot right to the bread basket. Widow tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dalsworth drives through and clinches with Widow against the ropes.
Dalsworth breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Widow fails with the takedown. Dalsworth tries a head kick but it misses.
Dalsworth scores with a nice right hand.
It looks like Taran Widow has been cut. Widow is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dalsworth tries a head kick but it misses.
Dalsworth throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dalsworth feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Widow sprawling to the canvas! Widow rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Dalsworth finish him?!
Widow is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dalsworth tries a head kick but it misses.
Widow is still on wobbly legs! Can Dalsworth finish him? Widow shoots in but Dalsworth avoids the takedown attempt easily. Widow seems to have recovered his senses. Ed Dalsworth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taran Widow. A chopping leg kick lands by Dalsworth. Ed Dalsworth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dalsworth lands a front kick. Dalsworth throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. No joy there for Dalsworth, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Good leg kick by Dalsworth there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dalsworth is defended easily by Widow. Dalsworth closes the distance and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dalsworth pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Widow on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Widow gets tackled into the ropes by Dalsworth. Dalsworth maintains the clinch. Dalsworth's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dalsworth feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Widow sprawling to the canvas! Widow rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Dalsworth finish him?!
Widow gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ed Dalsworth! As Ed Dalsworth got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: EAT MORE WAFFLES!!! '.
