Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Sagoth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien OQuinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). OQuinn has chosen Kocky-Tech N9ne as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Sagoth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Damien OQuinn!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OQuinn misses with a takedown

and Sagoth holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
OQuinn is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Sagoth scores a nice knee to the body.

Sagoth wants the takedown. OQuinn is fighting it off but Sagoth persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in OQuinn's guard against the cage.
Sagoth passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
OQuinn is not content to let Sagoth control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sagoth tries to move into full mount but can't pass OQuinn's legs.
OQuinn is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sagoth off and has taken his back!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
OQuinn is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

OQuinn is looking for the choke from the back position but Sagoth is controlling his hands well.
Sagoth is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Sagoth controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
OQuinn just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Sagoth tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
OQuinn controlling the position easily from mount.
Sagoth tries to improve his position but instead OQuinn has taken his back!
Sagoth trying to get back to his feet but OQuinn is in full control for now.
OQuinn struggling to keep hold of the position.
OQuinn is riding his opponent, not letting Sagoth buck him off.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
OQuinn is not going to allow Sagoth to sit and survive in this position.

OQuinn has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Sagoth is defending well but eventually OQuinn manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Sagoth has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Damien OQuinn!
Damien OQuinn decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
