Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Nedlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reginald Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Nedlov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Reginald Hawk! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nedlov has a takedown stuffed. Hawk's corner calls for a 1-2. Hawk obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Hawk misses with an attempted mid kick.
Hawk rushes Nedlov and presses him up against the cage. Nedlov taking a breather. Hawk tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Nedlov's elbow. Hawk is trying to pull guard but Nedlov turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Hawk gets through Nedlov's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Hawk landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Nedlov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hawk pulls him back up using the underhooks. Hawk lands a takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Hawk trying to control but Nedlov is working from the bottom. Hawk's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk trying to stand up but can't free himself from Nedlov's guard. Nedlov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hawk controls the pace. Nedlov could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Reginald Hawk has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hawk avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hawk slaps away a takedown attempt from Nedlov, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Nedlov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nedlov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hawk but Hawk pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hawk fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hawk dives in and scores a takedown into Nedlov's guard. Hawk tries to free his leg and advance position but Nedlov is retaining full guard. Nedlov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Nedlov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nedlov looking for a sweep. Not yet Nedlov, not yet. Hawk pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nedlov is keeping the position for now. Hawk stays in close to Nedlov's body and controls the position. Nedlov manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
This has been an exciting period of action! Hawk really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Nedlov trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hawk sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk is pressing down on Nedlov's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Nedlov postures up in Hawk's guard and throws a big left but Hawk blocks it. Hawk has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Nedlov off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Nedlov throws a head kick that half lands.
Hawk misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hawk fails with the takedown. Hawk misses with the body kick and Nedlov counters with a one-two to the body. Nice uppercut there from Hawk. The fight stays on the outside here - Hawk looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Horrible takedown by Hawk or perhaps it was just good defense by Nedlov which made him look bad. Hawk looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hawk gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hawk can do anything to dispel that myth. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nedlov wants to get up but he can't break Hawk's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Nedlov takes a decent strike to the side of the head. Nedlov trying to control but Hawk is working from the bottom. Hawk controls Nedlov momentarily but Nedlov frees himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nedlov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nedlov trying to control the position from guard on top but Hawk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hawk managing to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Good work by Hawk as he checks the leg kick. Hawk moves into range and clinches up with Nedlov. Hawk is trying to break the clinch but Nedlov has him pressed against the cage. Hawk stalling in the clinch.
Nedlov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hawk looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nedlov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hawk swivels and escapes. Hawk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nedlov circles away quickly and effectively. Nedlov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hawk's half guard. Nedlov trying to pass the guard but Hawk defending well.

Reginald Hawk has got the better of the ground game so far. Hawk controlling the position for now. Nedlov throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hawk to regain full guard. Nedlov trying to control but Hawk is working from the bottom. Hawk looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Hawk is trying to control the position but Nedlov postures up. Nedlov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Reginald Hawk. Hawk looks to land a combination but Nedlov avoids it well. Nice sprawl there from Hawk as Nedlov shoots in. Reginald Hawk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nedlov closes the distance and clinches. Hawk is trying to break the clinch but Nedlov is controlling him. Hawk blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hawk is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Hawk breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nedlov stuffs the takedown attempt from Hawk. Hawk gets slowly back to his feet. Hawk throws an off balance right hand
and Nedlov counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hawk! Hawk is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nedlov throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Hawk gets back to half guard. Nedlov wants to control but Hawk is keeping him busy. Hawk avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nedlov.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Nedlov wants to pass the guard but Hawk is keeping the position. Hawk is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hawk tries to land a sweep but no joy. Nedlov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hawk keeping moving, preventing Nedlov from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ivan Nedlov. Hawk throws a leg kick that misses. Nedlov fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Nedlov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hawk throws a good cross that connects.
Hawk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nedlov tries to avoid it but Hawk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nedlov to the ground. Nedlov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nedlov misses with a double jab.
Nedlov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hawk at a distance.
Ivan Nedlov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hawk fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hawk shoots in but Nedlov avoids the takedown attempt easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Hawk gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Nedlov counters with a nice uppercut. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nedlov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Hawk trying to control from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ivan Nedlov will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Nedlov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hawk. Hawk shoots in looking for a takedown. Nedlov tries to sprawl out of it but Hawk keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nedlov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nedlov tries to clinch but Hawk moves out of range. Nedlov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nedlov misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Nedlov in side control, just content to control the action for now. Nedlov throws a strike aimed at the side of Hawk's head but Hawk avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk regains half guard, as Nedlov was trying to land strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hawk is staying active underneath Nedlov, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hawk is trying to maintain the position but Nedlov is very close to passing his half guard. Hawk tries to get to full guard but Nedlov has control of the leg. Nedlov stops Hawk from getting back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hawk wants to clinch. Both fighters circling a little - Nedlov finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Hawk keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nedlov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hawk as he avoids it easily. Hawk shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hawk throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hawk lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Hawk looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nedlov wants to get back to his feet. Nedlov is trying to control but Hawk passes into side control!

Hawk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nedlov keeps working. Hawk connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Nedlov some visible discomfort.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Reginald Hawk. Well Hawk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
