Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Lowley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lane Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frost comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 8 second ride (Jake Owen) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Lane Frost acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lane Frost! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frost feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Frost trying to control but Lowley is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Frost thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Frost avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Frost drops back looking for a leg! Lowley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lowley manages to kick Frost off! Frost jumps back into Lowley's guard. Lowley keeping moving, preventing Frost from controlling successfully. Frost drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lowley dives on top into guard. Frost had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lowley defends it easily. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Lowley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lowley advances to half guard. Frost looking for submissions off his back. Lowley is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Lowley seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Frost landing small, sideways elbows. Lowley is pressing down on Frost's thigh, looking to free his foot. Frost is holding on for now. Lowley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Frost is looking to improve his position.

Lowley is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Frost is surviving well by controlling Lowley's body position as best he can. Frost is looking to get to half guard. Lowley is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Frost has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Frost tries to reverse the position but Lowley maintains control. Lowley working for a submission but Frost is keeping him at bay. Frost keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fighters are battling for position here. Frost manages to regain full guard. Nice work. This has been an exciting period of action! Lowley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lowley is sitting in close to Frost's body. Frost has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Lowley is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Lowley is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Frost.
