Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peyton Hillis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Marcolini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcolini has chosen Raffaella Carra - Rumore as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marco Marcolini!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hillis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marcolini lands a nice shot to the body.
Marcolini tries to clinch up.

Marcolini closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hillis to the mat! Hillis manages to get full guard.
Hillis working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Marcolini.
Marcolini won't allow Hillis to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marcolini wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hillis keeps working.
Marcolini has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Marcolini stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hillis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Marcolini working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Hillis's thigh. Hillis counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Marcolini throws a big elbow that misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Peyton Hillis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hillis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Hillis clinches up with Marcolini and pushes him back against the cage.
Hillis looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Hillis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice defenses there by Hillis.
Hillis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marcolini manages to avoid it.
Hillis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Marcolini's head.

Marcolini misses with the combination.
Marcolini throws a big shot that misses.
Hillis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Marcolini throws out the jab.
Marcolini throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Marcolini feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Marcolini is trying to ground and pound but Hillis uses the momentary lack of control by Marcolini to regain half guard.

Marcolini seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hillis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Marcolini wants to free his trapped foot but Hillis is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Marcolini is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Marcolini looking to control but Hillis is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Marcolini unloads with some shots from mount but Hillis bucks and avoids them well.
Marcolini thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Marcolini swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hillis is now in Marcolini's guard. A big mistake from Marcolini there, giving up the dominant position!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marcolini is pulling down on Hillis's head. It's preventing any offense from Hillis, at least for the moment.

Marco Marcolini showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Marcolini is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Marcolini gets tackled into the cage by Hillis. Hillis maintains the clinch.
Hillis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Marcolini has him pressed against the cage.
Peyton Hillis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Marco Marcolini seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Marcolini is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hillis is defending well for now.

Marco Marcolini comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Marcolini has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Marco Marcolini tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
