Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Damian Rogalewski!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pavlovic misses with a head kick.
Rogalewski takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Rogalewski tries to sprawl but Pavlovic drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Rogalewski looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Rogalewski tries to roll over but Pavlovic keeps him under control.
Pavlovic is looking to take a break and control but Rogalewski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rogalewski holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rogalewski wants to get back to full guard.

Pavlovic is keen to just control but Rogalewski is a slippery customer.

We're going to have a standup here because Damjan Pavlovic wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Pavlovic displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rogalewski.

Pavlovic keeps the fight on the outside.

Damjan Pavlovic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Rogalewski.

Pavlovic closes the distance and clinches.

Rogalewski is trying to drag Pavlovic to the mat but Pavlovic just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Pavlovic is pressed up against the cage. Rogalewski has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pavlovic down to the mat. Pavlovic avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Rogalewski regains half guard, as Pavlovic was trying to land strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rogalewski keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Rogalewski kicks Pavlovic off and gets back to his feet.

Pavlovic gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Pavlovic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Pavlovic fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rogalewski to the ground. Pavlovic is now in Rogalewski's guard.

Rogalewski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pavlovic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Pavlovic gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Rogalewski tries to pull guard but Pavlovic holds him up against the cage and eventually Rogalewski drops back down to his feet.
Rogalewski tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pavlovic's elbow.
Rogalewski tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Pavlovic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Damjan Pavlovic is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pavlovic blocks a head kick by Rogalewski.
Rogalewski tries for a takedown but Pavlovic sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Damjan Pavlovic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Rogalewski.
Pavlovic connects with a nice looking jab.

Pavlovic fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rogalewski sprawls well initially but Pavlovic persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pavlovic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rogalewski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Pavlovic is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rogalewski defends it well.
Rogalewski is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pavlovic's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pavlovic's back!
Rogalewski keeps control of the position easily here as Pavlovic tries to buck him off.

Rogalewski is persistently looking for the submission but Pavlovic is defending it well.

Rogalewski really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Pavlovic.

Rogalewski looking to break Pavlovic's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Pavlovic remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Rogalewski will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Rogalewski punches the canvas rather than the man.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Damian Rogalewski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Rogalewski throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pavlovic tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rogalewski is in Pavlovic's guard.
Rogalewski is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Let's hope that Rogalewski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Pavlovic looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Rogalewski wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Rogalewski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pavlovic doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pavlovic manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
