Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Franz Weimar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Branson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weimar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Enter The Sandman by Metallica . The crowd seem to be enjoying Branson's choice of entrance music: Meytal Cohen - Toxicity. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kyle Branson!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weimar swats away the attempt to clinch by Branson.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Weimar is defended easily by Branson.
Weimar shoots in and drives through. Branson sprawls well.
Branson works Weimar's body with a nice hook.
Branson tries to bum rush Weimar with a series of wild strikes but Weimar uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Branson throws a jab when Weimar was well out of range.
Branson misses the jab.
Branson misses with a hook.
Nice cross by Branson.
Branson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Weimar.
Weimar slips a jab and a cross from Branson.

Weimar shoots in and bounces Branson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Weimar is looking to work some ground and pound but Branson has wrist control.

Weimar drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Branson dives on top into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Branson trying to control but Weimar is working from the bottom.

Weimar tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Weimar working for a triangle but Branson defends it easily.

Branson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Branson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Weimar wants to stand and escape but Branson is having none of it.
Branson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Branson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Branson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Branson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Weimar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Branson has managed to get both his arms back between Weimar's legs - danger averted.

Branson wants to control from the top but Weimar keeps moving.
Branson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Weimar's head.
Branson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Weimar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Weimar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Branson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Branson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Weimar's guard.

Branson tries to free his leg and advance position but Weimar is retaining full guard.

Branson postures up in Weimar's guard and throws a big left but Weimar blocks it.
Branson stands and throws Weimar's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Branson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Weimar tries to control but Branson manages to take his back.
Branson controlling well, preventing Weimar from escaping the position.

Branson has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Weimar has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Branson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Weimar knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Weimar for a finish.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Weimar tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Branson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Weimar is surviving well by controlling Branson's body position as best he can.
Branson trying to control but Weimar is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Weimar is staying active underneath Branson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Branson dominated that round.
That's time! Weimar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Branson moves in looking to clinch but Weimar pushes him off.

Weimar gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Branson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Franz Weimar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Branson.

Weimar gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Branson regains guard.
Weimar cracks Branson with a solid left hand.

Branson is looking for a triangle but Weimar pushes his legs off easily.
Branson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Weimar stands and steps away. Branson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Weimar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Branson.

Branson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Branson in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Branson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Branson tries to move to mount but Weimar blocks the move with his legs.
Weimar tries to improve position but can't.

Branson is trying to get an arm triangle but Weimar is defending well.
Weimar is not content to let Branson control the position.

Branson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Weimar tries to escape but Branson is in control.

Branson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Weimar is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Branson off and has taken his back!

Weimar looking to break Branson's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Branson remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Weimar will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Branson has an Americana. Weimar didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Branson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Branson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Kyle Branson!
