Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cabek Nerek!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nerek shoots for a double leg takedown but Striegl sprawls well. He's pushed Nerek's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nerek shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Striegl decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nerek's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Horrible takedown by Striegl or perhaps it was just good defense by Nerek which made him look bad.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nerek escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Striegl gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Striegl knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nerek on the ground.

Nerek had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Striegl defends it easily.

Nerek is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mark Striegl has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Nerek dives in and grabs Striegl's left leg, looking for a takedown. Striegl pushes down on Nerek's head and hops out.

Striegl lands a hook that snaps the head of Nerek backwards.
Striegl is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Nerek pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Striegl jumps into guard, dragging Nerek to the mat.

Striegl flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Cabek Nerek has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nerek got a little sloppy there for a moment and Striegl has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nerek has managed to get both his arms back between Striegl's legs - danger averted.

Striegl has hold of Nerek's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nerek manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
