Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eli Crowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crowe comes into the arena with Angry Johnny & The Killbillies - Kill Again blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Ruiz's choice of entrance music: jukebox hero. Justin Ruiz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eli Crowe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Justin Ruiz! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruiz throws an overhand right that lands on Crowe's shoulder, as Crowe tries to avoid the shot. Ruiz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ruiz takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Ruiz drops his hands momentarily and Crowe takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Justin Ruiz has been cut. Ruiz looks to score with a jab to the body but Crowe is just out of range. Crowe is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Crowe uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ruiz. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ruiz stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Crowe. Ruiz thows a left - swing and a miss! Ruiz takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ruiz looks to throw the jab but Crowe is out of range. Ruiz uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Crowe has time to react. Crowe moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Crowe with a jab. Ruiz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Ruiz stopping the sweep attempt from Crowe. Crowe managing to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruiz wants to control from the top but Crowe keeps moving. Ruiz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Crowe is trying to control the position but Ruiz postures up. Crowe preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Crowe keeping moving, preventing Ruiz from controlling successfully. Ruiz postures up in Crowe's guard and throws a big left but Crowe blocks it. Crowe wants to sweep but no luck. Ruiz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A big left from Ruiz misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crowe lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Ruiz swings widly with a right hand
and Crowe counters with an outside leg kick.
Ruiz on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ruiz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Crowe but Crowe pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ruiz misses with a looping left. A slapping body kick lands there for Crowe. Ruiz looks winded! Ruiz shoots in looking for a takedown but Crowe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ruiz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ruiz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Crowe lands with a shot to the body. Nice cross by Crowe. Crunch! Crowe slams his shin into Ruiz's torso. An inside leg kick lands from Crowe. Ruiz walks into a left hand.
That has opened up Justin Ruiz's cut even more. Crowe lands a nice looking body kick. Crowe moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Eli Crowe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. An inside leg kick lands from Crowe. Crowe fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ruiz. A solid body kick from Crowe. Crowe lands with a straight right. Ruiz didn't see that one coming. This has been an exciting period of action! Crowe fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ruiz has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Crowe is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Crowe fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Ruiz to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Ruiz looks to clinch but Crowe throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Ruiz taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Eli Crowe! Eli Crowe decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
