Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kid Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bentley Downer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bentley Downer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downer closes the distance but Kong moves to the side

and Kong counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kong wants to control but Downer is keeping him busy.
Kong in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Downer takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Downer is trying to control Kong's posture but Kong avoids it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kong throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Kong lands a few punches from side control.
Downer takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Kong takes a little break here. Downer wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Kong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Downer takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Downer is rocked!
Kong cracks Downer with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Kong immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Downer is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Kong!
