The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Testaverde fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Arce checks it well.
Testaverde lands with a straight right. Arce didn't see that one coming.

Testaverde tries to sprawl but Arce drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Arce thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Arce seems to be working for a kimura but Testaverde defends the submission attempt.
Testaverde tries to get to full guard but Arce has control of the leg.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Arce postures up in Testaverde's guard and throws a big left but Testaverde blocks it.
Arce tries to free his leg and advance position but Testaverde is retaining full guard.

Arce drops back looking for a leg! Testaverde is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Testaverde manages to kick Arce off! Arce jumps back into Testaverde's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Arce sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Testaverde's guard.
Arce tries to pass to full mount but Testaverde defends it.
Arce thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Testaverde's head.

Arce has control of Testaverde's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Testaverde regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Testaverde is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Arce is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Arce extends the arm and Testaverde is forced to tap!
