Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Minamoto Shigetoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Minamoto Shigetoki was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Minamoto Shigetoki! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Anderson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Anderson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Shigetoki is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Anderson has just dragged him back down to the mat. Shigetoki is trying to control Anderson's posture but Anderson avoids it. Anderson is trying to get an arm triangle but Shigetoki is defending well. Shigetoki tries to escape but Anderson is in control. Anderson trying to control the action but Shigetoki is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shigetoki takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shigetoki wants to get back to his feet but Anderson drags him back down. Shigetoki is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Anderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Shigetoki knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Shigetoki is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Anderson asserts his dominance and retains side control. Anderson really is a fat lump.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shigetoki keeps working. Shigetoki pushes Anderson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Anderson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Anderson working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Anderson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shigetoki is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Anderson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Shigetoki is trying to escape and Anderson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Shigetoki is forced to tap! Nice work there by Anderson! Very nice indeed!
